  • Wedding in Windermere

    We booked Alice Howe and Boston House for 5 days for our trip to Windermere to get married with 11 guests. The houses were perfect, well located and well equipped. The owners really have thought of everything. The houses are very spacious and comfortable and ideally suited for groups for any occasion. A perfect week. Thank you

  • Magical 50th Birthday Weekend

    We had a fantastic time at Boston House to celebrate My 50th Birthday, Lots of food and drink and a bit of walking. The house is great and the location perfect, we especially liked sitting around the island unit in the kitchen singing. I am sure we will be back. Thanks

  • Canterbury AW 10

    See attached pic from the Canterbury AW shoot, our accomodation on the project was Oakland Hall. A superb setting, ideal, luxurious and comfortable, perfect for the crew. When working such long hours, we couldn't wait to get back to the hall. Andy and his team we're amazingly helpful and catered for our every request. I'm dying to stay there again, hopefully for pleasure as opposed to business next time.

    We are just back from Gemma's hen weekend in Bannerrigg, and had an absolute ball! Thank you so much, your house is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. It was spotless when we arrived and hopefully in not too bad a state when we left :) I will be recommending a stay at The Terrace to all my friends, thanks again for a wonderful weekend xx

  • A fab place!

    What a fab place. Just come back from a weekend there. 19 of us and 1 black labrador. Perfect. Mum and Dad's 40th Wedding anniversary, we hired both Bannerigg and Boston, and they are both excellent. Hot Tubs, Cinema rooms, and dining for all of us all at once. Perfect.

  • My 40th

    Thanks for a great 40th birthday weekend. The kitchen and cinema at Boston House are great additions. We partied hard around the kitchen island unit and sobered up next morning watching a film in the cinema. In the words of Arnie "We'll be back".

  • An ungrown-up - grown-up weekend!

    We had a brilliant weekend at Alice Howe. 7 couples enjoyed 3 days of walking in the Lakes followed by 3 very drunken nights at the huge dining table. Alice Howe had everything we needed and was perfectly positioned for our endless trips back and forward to Booths supermarket for supplies. Thanks for a great time...we will definitely be visiting again.

    We had a brilliant week with the kids at half term. It’s unusual to find a property of such quality big enough to take 3 families. We walked, ghyll scrambled, hired bikes and cycled in the Grizedale Forest, played pitch and putt it was an action packed holiday. The DVD jukebox came in really handy. 8 kids were kept entertained while the adults retired to the front lounge for a civilised G&T. It was lovely to sit in front of a real log fire, something that we never get the chance to do in London.
