A look at Bannerrigg
Here are just a few photographs of Bannerrigg, we've tried to capture the ambience of this magnificent house but to truly understand why we think it's so special - you really must visit.

Bannerrigg is easily recognised by its green door.

Tub with a view.
Open the doors from the hot tub out into the garden and unwind after your day on the hill...add a glass of wine...perfect!

8 seat hot tub.
Nestled in the corner of the rear garden is our 8 seat hot tub it's in its own building so it can be used 365 days a year.

Rear patio.
At the rear of the house is a huge patio, which gets the sun until dusk - perfect for barbeques.

Parking
To the front and side of the house we have parking for 4 cars (or 7 if you park each other in).

House name plaque
Bannerrigg is named after a small hill just behind the house.

Lower garden
We have a lovely lawned lower garden - why not bring a badminton set and make the most of the space.

The dining room is beautifully decorated and has an open fire to add even more atmosphere.

Our dining table seats 18-20 people.

Lounge
The lounge sits 16 on its super-sized squishy leather sofas, plus a few extra on the window seat. There's a lovely open fire for those winter nights and a large flat screen TV and playstation II for your entertainment.

Kitchen.
The kitchen is the heart of this home. Furnished with an 8 seat farmhouse table - this is the perfect place for breakfast.

The kitchen has been recently refurbished it has a style befitted to such an old property but with all the necessary gadgets that you'd find in a modern kitchen.

AGA
The kitchen has a lovely AGA, which both warms the room and cooks your dinner - what more could you ask for?

Large dining table
Our large dining table seats up to 20 people. The room itself is usually drenched in sun from its two stone mullioned windows.

A hallway with a view.
The stairs and landing look out over a National Trust field. Apart from the odd dear or sheep there's nothing to interrupt your peace.

Visitor's book.
Bannerrigg's visitor's book makes great reading - the comments are fantastic and make us get out of bed in a morning. Keep them coming - and thanks to everyone who's taken the time to put pen to paper.

Bedroom 1 - double.
Bedroom one is the master bedroom it's filled with light from two huge windows. The room has an ensuite shower an toilet.

Bedroom 2 - king-size plus 2 day beds.
Bedroom 2 is a family room with a king-size bed and two day beds, which double up as settees. It also has a large flatscreen TV and DVD player.

Bedroom 3 New decoration for 2010
Bedroom 3 looks out on to Orrest Head. Occasionally early in the morning you'll see a lone stag grazing in the field just across the road.

Bedroom 4 - 4 single beds.
This 2nd floor bedroom has 4 single beds and a large TV with Playstation2. It's a great place for the kids to hang-out well away from those rowdy adults adults partying around the dining table!

Bedroom 5 - king-size.
Decorated all in white this room is warm and peaceful. Located at the top of the house this room is perfect for the lightest of sleepers. Once the Velux black-out blinds are closed you can't see a thing! zzzzzzzz

Ensuite bedroom 1.
The recently refurbished ensuite in bedroom one has a contemporary feel with it's large shower and slate floor.

Downstairs toilet
OK it's not that glamorous as a shot but to some people a downstairs toilet is a really important feature. So here it is in all it's splendor - ladies and gentlemen we give you the....(drum roll)...downstairs toilet!!!! dadaaaaa!

New for Christmas 09 pressurised thermostatic shower over the bath in family bathroom.

The rear of The Terrace.
The rear of the houses taken from the path down from Orrest Head - (a great walk!) Windermere is in the distance.

White Christmas?
We do get snow at The Terrace - we love it! Due to our proximity to the main roads snow isn't too much of an issue. The Council tend to get the main roads up and running quickly.
