The rooms in Bannerrigg are significantly bigger than in our other properties. This has allowed us to create 2 family rooms, each sleeping 4 people, which makes Bannerrigg the perfect group family home. The property is ideal for parties of 6 adults and 8 kids. The kids especially love bedroom number 4, which has 4 single beds, and flatscreen TV. Situated on the top floor, they can disappear into their own space away from the adults! The large farmhouse style kitchen was newly fitted in 2007. It features a gas-fired AGA (which makes the kitchen lovely and warm - a joy to come down to in the morning), granite work surfaces, microwave, American fridge freezer with icemaker and an 8-seater farmhouse-style dining table - great for those full-cooked Lake District breakfasts.
The lounge has sumptuous leather sofas and chairs and comfortably seats 16 people around its imposing open fire. The room also has a large flat-screen TV and DVD player. For the musician in your group, there’s a pianola, which doubles up as a piano for those sing-alongs.
The dining room is flooded with natural light from its 2 large stone mullioned windows. It has a huge table, which can seat up to 20 people and a quality hi-fi with iPod dock. It's the perfect place for whiling away the evening with your party. The bedrooms are all large. Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom and has an ensuite shower and toilet. It’s furnished with an antique pine double bed, large settee, vanity unit and TV/DVD combi. Bedroom 2 is the family room with a king-size bed, 2 day beds which double as settees, large wardrobe, large flat-screen TV and DVD player. Bedroom 3 has a king-size bed, 2 comfortable armchairs and a TV/DVD player. There is a large bathroom on this floor with sink and toilet.
On the second floor there’s a shower room with sink and toilet. Bedroom 4 has 4 single beds with a large TV. Bedroom 5 is a king-size and has a TV/DVD combi. Outside, the house has two main garden areas: to the front, a lawn and stone built barbecue, to the rear, another lawned area and large patio with large teak table and chair set. To the front of the property there is parking for up to 5 cars (although to achieve this you’ll have to park each other in). Being a family house we accept two dogs per booking.
