A former gentlemen's residence Oakland Hall has been beautifully restored to create an amazing holiday experience. The interior is an eclectic mix of old and new. With views over Windermere to the Langdales beyond this house is really quite special.
The Terrace Windermere is available as 3 individual houses (each sleeping 14) or to rent collectively altogether The Terrace can accommodate up to 42 people. With private parking for up to 20 cars, The Terrace, Windermere is the perfect base for large groups of families or friends to enjoy a fantastic break in the Lake District. Outside the school holidays we take weekend bookings. So for that special birthday celebration, why not invite over 40 of your friends for a party with a difference. When you divide our prices between a large party, you'll see it works out to be a fantastically cheap break.

Welcome to the official home of Oakland Hall and The Terrace, Windermere, a collection of Cottages in Windermere for large groups. We're listed on a lot of websites out there. Not all of them carry a link to us (due to policy). However you found us - so well done!
As owner, I try to keep this site as up-to-date as possible, so the information and photographs on here may be different to our other listings. I hope you find everything you need on the site to convince you to book.
You can contact me with any questions by email. However when it comes to booking one of our Cottages in Windermere for large groups, I hand you over to my booking agents - Cumbrian Cottages, who look after the houses for me. They're a big company with a big reputation and carry all the guarantees you would expect. Their offices are just around the corner from The Terrace, should you need any help during your stay.
Our pricing structure is simple. We offer 3 types of break:
1. Weekend Friday 4pm until Monday 10am. Available throughout the year (except school holidays - when we only offer 7 night breaks).
The Terrace: £1550 until Nov 5th 2012. £1300 Nov 5th until Feb 28th. £1550 in March. £1650 from April 2013
Oakland Hall: £1320 until Nov 5th 2012. £1000 Nov 5th to Feb 28th. £1320 in March. £1380 from April 2013
Orrest Head House: £1680 until Nov 5th 2012. £1200 Nov5th to Feb 28th. £1680 in march. £1720 from April 2013
2. Mid-week Monday 4pm until Friday 10am. Available throughout the year (except school holidays - when we only offer 7 night breaks).
The Terrace and Oakland Hall: £800 until April 2013. April 2013 onwards £850.
Orrest Head House: £900 until April 2013. April 2013 onwards £1000.
3. Full-week breaks priced individually - (press "Book" button to check) Friday 4pm until Friday 10am. Available throughout the year.
